Using timers and motors together not possible

Hi,
I have a program that uses timers to measure a timeout. If I understand correctly, timer 0 and timer 1 are already occupied by your Kilobot API for message transmission/reception. Therefore I am using timer 2 which needs the register OCR2A as timer compare register (which triggers the interrupts).
The problem now is that the set_motor function of libkilobot uses the same register for setting the ccw motor speed. How can I use timers and motors in the same program?
