Khepera IV / Cannot charge Khepera IV with contact pads
« Last post by chrisb27 on May 24, 2017, 04:48:12 PM »
Hi,

I'm trying to make a charging/docking station to charge a Khepera through its contact pads on the bottom. However, when connecting the 9 V and ground pads (either 2&4 or 7&5) directly to a power supply, the robot doesn't charge. The red charging status LED doesn't turn on. The robot doesn't pull any current either.

I've tried with two different Kheperas and confirmed that their battery charge state was low enough to start charging with the AC adapter.

The user manual doesn't seem to mention anything else. Can you help?

Thank you!

Chris

I managed to establish WiFi connection after changing to wlan0 in the file.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi,

the number of the wlan can vary depend on the installation.

In the manual we have indicated the wlan3 as example, but in your case (look at your iwconfig), it seems that you have a wlan0.

Then you must adapt the file with wlan0.

Khepera IV / Issues in WiFi activation on Khepera IV robot

Hi,

I am having issues in activating WiFi on the robot. I was following the instruction manual to set up WiFi connection. I have edited the /etc/network/interfaces file to the following:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto wlan3
iface wlan3 inet static
      wireless_mode managed
      wireless_essid NO-INTERNET-ACCESS
      address 192.168.153.2
      netmask 255.255.128.0
      gateway 192.168.128.1

However, I am having "No such device" messages as shown below after calling /etc/init.d/networking restart:

Reconfiguring network interfaces... Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06:
SET failed on device wlan3 ; No such device.

Kilobot / Re: Charging and receiving commands issue
« Last post by kteam on March 31, 2017, 03:49:32 PM »
Hi,

for the charging problem, you have to place the ON/OFF jumper on the robot. Then you can place them in sleep mode to improve the charging.

For the AVR problem, you have certainly not correctly install the driver. The OHC must be recognize as AVRisp MkII.

Best regards

Kilobot / Charging and receiving commands issue
« Last post by iwi.wirtschaft on March 02, 2017, 10:01:46 AM »
Hi,

I am experiencing some issues with kilobots.

Charging
The charging doesn't work at all. The battery remains the same level (before: yellow/after: yellow) after charging overnight. Due to this issue, some robots are down now.

Receiving commands/program from the OHC
Three of my kilobots have this issue.
Kilobot Nr.1 is not able to receive any commands sent by the OHC (it keeps blinking blue)
Kilobot Nr. 2 is not able to receive any new program (It seems that the old program that I uploaded last time cannot be overwritten).
Kilobot Nr. 3 is not able to receive any new program and always returns to sleep mode (blinking green) once it is out of the control distance of the OHC.

I tried to reinstall the bootloader to the kilobot which blinks blue. After selecting Autoconnect in AVR Studio, I receive the message "connect failed" and cannot proceed furhter.

Could you help me solve these issues?
Thanks
