Kilobot / OHC Resetting
« Last post by Dasto on May 29, 2017, 12:56:48 PM »
Hello!

I managed to flash my OHC with the latest controller.hex file, as per the instructions [1]. Then I proceeded to flash the first Kilobot with the latest bootloader.hex. The Kilobot flashed green and vibrated then seemed to get stuck. After quite some time I disconnected the Kilobot and it now just sits there blinking green rapidly.

Meanwhile, the OHC is rebooting and I am unable to flash it (see video) [2]. If you can't see the video, what is happening is that one of the green LED's on the OHC flashes every four seconds, and the OHC is re-detected in Device Manager.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Daniel

Khepera IV / Re: Khepera IV front camera only outputs 1 to 2 fps
« Last post by kteam on May 29, 2017, 09:54:12 AM »
Hi,

you can increase the fps by lower the size of the image.
At the full scale, the Gumstix cannot cannot stream more data than 1 or 2 fps.

Khepera IV / Re: Cannot charge Khepera IV with contact pads
« Last post by kteam on May 29, 2017, 09:53:07 AM »
Hi,

which voltage did you apply to the PAD? it must not be lower than 9V to work correctly (as the battery has a 8.4V voltage at the end of charge).
You can set your power supply to 9.5V to be sure (even 10V).

Actually the external power supply provided with the Robot, deliver 9.3V to compensate the voltage drop in the cable at full load.

Khepera IV / Khepera IV front camera only outputs 1 to 2 fps
« Last post by chrisb27 on May 24, 2017, 10:06:23 PM »
Hi,

The front camera only seems to output about 1 to 2 frames per second.

Is this a known problem, and is there a fix?

Thank you!

Khepera IV / Cannot charge Khepera IV with contact pads
« Last post by chrisb27 on May 24, 2017, 04:48:12 PM »
Hi,

I'm trying to make a charging/docking station to charge a Khepera through its contact pads on the bottom. However, when connecting the 9 V and ground pads (either 2&4 or 7&5) directly to a power supply, the robot doesn't charge. The red charging status LED doesn't turn on. The robot doesn't pull any current either.

I've tried with two different Kheperas and confirmed that their battery charge state was low enough to start charging with the AC adapter.

The user manual doesn't seem to mention anything else. Can you help?

Thank you!

Chris
